Terms of Service
These terms describe the moving and storage services TLC Moving provides and your use of tlcmovingaz.com. By requesting a quote, booking a move, or signing one of our written estimates, you accept the terms set out below. They are written in plain English; the binding particulars of any specific job live in the written estimate, the bill of lading, and any other paperwork you sign with us at the Glendale Avenue office.
Estimates and binding quotes
A local West Valley estimate is our good-faith projection based on the inventory and the walkthrough you provide; the actual local charge reflects the hours, crew size, and materials the move ends up requiring, billed against the hourly rates spelled out in your paperwork. A long-distance flat rate is a binding written quote starting at $2,480 — once you accept it in writing, the price holds for the scope it describes, and it only changes if you add inventory, services, or destinations that were not part of the original walkthrough. Always read the written estimate carefully, because it, and not anything said in conversation, governs your specific move under Arizona and federal household-goods rules.
Deposits and cancellation
A $175 deposit reserves your date on the TLC calendar and is applied to the final total of your move. If you need to reschedule, contact us as early as you reasonably can and we will shift the booking; the deposit follows the new date rather than being lost. If you cancel outright, the deposit may be retained in whole or in part to cover the slot we held open. We always try to be reasonable, and the specifics are spelled out at booking. Cancellations driven by monsoon dust storms, NWS-warning weather, or other genuine safety conditions are not penalized.
Liability and protection
Released-value protection at $0.60 per pound per article is included on every shipment at no extra charge and is the default level of carrier liability, consistent with federal household-goods rules and Arizona practice. You may instead choose full-value protection, which covers a damaged or lost item at its actual replacement worth, and we will price and explain that option before your move. Cargo coverage extends up to $1,000,000 per shipment. Claims must be reported to us promptly, in writing, and within the nine-month federal window, in line with the procedures in your moving documents.
Governing law
TLC Moving operates under a common-carrier permit issued by the Arizona Corporation Commission for intrastate work, plus our own USDOT and MC authority for interstate moves. These terms and any move we perform for you are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, with venue in Maricopa County for any dispute.
